Well I went to the doctor today got great news . Since the last visit. I had lost 12.5 pounds since my surgury. Have 2 Incisions that Qite havent healed,but are a mere minor wounds. compared to what they were 3 weeks ago. Eating normal food now. just have to take eating my foods slow.(I have gone from Mach 6 eating to an Amish buggy) It feeels Great!!
Well doing Ok on most fronts. the open ozing wounds have healed over .But last week went for a band fill the doctor could not find the fill port . After 16 tries by him and 4 from another doctor they had to stop.Doctor wanted to have me get X-rays .I got them done. I think the X-ray tech did not how to take x-rays. The doctor has seen the xrays.He could not where the top of the fill port was. so more time in a hospital under a scope to have a port fill done. I will find out on Monday more...

I bought all kinds of clothes I liked and arranged them in my closet by size with big dividers between them. It was soooooo cool when I'd get to go "shopping" in the next size down. Enjoy this time. Document your weight loss through pictures. It's a very dramatic change and sometimes fun to go back and see the changes. Enjoy!

Well today is Friday and the hole has closed over and almost gone. So it is closed over now I get to go to the FRIO River this weekend.Ice Cold Spring water ,Big Cypress trees and a rock bottom. With the temps in the high 90's this weekend I think that is the place to hang out.Hey I get to show of the slimmer me. allthough I am not a size 32 yet. That can happen. It does seem like a small amount, given the scope of the surgery and the possibilities for infection. I would just keep a steady eye on it. If it becomes reddened or exudes more drainage, you develop a fever, pain tenderness or swelling at the site, you should call again right away.--True

don't want to scare you but I am worried about the way you described that drainage. Not a nurse, but I cared for my severely disabled husband for years. When he had an infection one time, the drainage was as you described. Feel like I am adopting you as my "little" in the GB buddy system - LOL Want you to stay nice and healthy as you go through this process of healing! Take care, Kirsten
Sunday night had a set back on healing. One of the wounds had closed over, but developed a blood blister like bubble over the site.
I had taken a shower and was drying off, Well it popped and all sorts of goo came out.About two soda bottle caps worth. It was not pus , but looked like chicken soup broth. called the doctor. Well on monday called the doctor,He was out,so talked to the surgical nurse she did not seem too worried. I have a appt. for a Wensday for a band fill/ check up any way more...
